Nona has been passionate about helping women to better their lot or level-up their lives and needed resource persons or speakers for an all-women empowerment conference she was preparing to host in the US.
Thankfully she had been following Mandiassch[1] – a highly followed influencer – on Instagram and reckoned she would be the perfect woman to inspire the prospective attendees.
Mandiassch’s life – as seen on social media – had been the dream of every woman; affluent, classy, gorgeous, and fabulous! She always wore designer clothes, carried expensive designer handbags, wore red-bottom shoes, and was constantly posting pictures of herself in expensive restaurants.
When Nona reached out to her on phone, she turned down the invite. And what was her reason? “Nona, I would love to do this, but I just got evicted from my apartment. And actually staying with a friend and been sleeping on her couch. And I don’t know where I’m going to be at, by the time of the conference.” Oops!
Interestingly, Mandiassch had posted a picture of herself – earlier that morning – holding a Chanel handbag and showing off her red-bottom shoes. Meaning the picture was posted in the period of eviction and while she was putting up with a friend and having a couch for a bed.
Fake life, or being positive and optimistic?
Whichever way you take it, what was being exhibited by Mandiassch was more fictional than real!
