Creativity and Supernatural Interactivity

Creativity is the noun form of the adjective creative, which means to produce or use original and unusual ideas. Creativity is a little different from innovation. To be innovative simply means to introduce changes and new ideas. Note that it does not emphasise that, the new ideas necessarily have to be original and unusual. It is the ‘original and unusual’ factor that makes the difference, though innovation and creativity are often used interchangeably; in either case, it implies improvement. Seer, be innovative but be creative about it, and I’m going to use the word creativity to imply both innovation and creativity together.

It is worth noting that, no particular person is born with better creative abilities than another, and certainly, no person has more raw creative abilities than you, Seer. All you need to do is to stimulate your creativity by submitting to your mind appropriate and focused questions and intensely desired goals;these come from pressing problems. One very powerful question is, “How do I…?” When you stimulate your mind with focused questions this way, you’ll be amazed at the ideas that will spring to light. This technique has helped me so much in my design profession, where creativity is the key. In a recent prestigious design project I had the privilege of participating in (palace for the first lady of a certain country; withheld for security reasons), the key requirement was, “Design to amaze!” Without these tried and tested techniques, how do you meet such a challenge?

Interestingly, Seer, all the things you have seenheardsmelttastedtouched or even thought about before (both in the distance past and in the immediate past) once they’ve been processed and passed from the conscious into the subconscious mind, they have become permanent records; stored and ready for use in the creative thinking process. Your mind can take these isolated facts from your subconscious mind and tie them together in a marvelous manner as new and unusual solutions to your desires and focused questions. With this ability, Seer, you can come up with astounding solutions to problems of any magnitude, and amazing answers to questions if you ponder over them long enough. Albert Einstein, one of the greatest scientists and physicists that ever lived, once said, “It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”

Harnessing the Brain Power

Your brain can be likened to the central processing unit (CPU) of a computer but your brain is far more complex in nature. You have the capacity to store and process more information than can be stored and processed in many of the sophisticated electronic computers the world has ever seen. What is sad however, is that Scientists estimate that most persons, during their lifetime, use their brains to achieve just about one-hundredth of 1 percent of what the brain is capable of achieving. In other words, if the brain is capable of achieving 10,000 marks what most people achieve with it is just 1 out of 10,000. It’s like having one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world (like the Jaguar, or even the Sunway TaihuLight, or the new kid on the block: IBM’s Summit) and only using it as a clock to display the time! How does that feel?

To illustrate further, assuming that the white cylinder shown is what the brain is capable of achieving throughout your lifetime on earth, then ordinarily, what you are likely to achieve with it is the green speck shown against the yellow cylinder; the yellow cylinder represents the comparative proportion of what you are likely to refuse to use their brains for: the books that will not be written, the businesses that will never be created, the theories that will remain unknown, the happiness, health and wealth that you may refuse to create, and so on! Because that is what mostly happens; unless you get the kind of orientation that Zing4Life! presents, and do implement the recommendations thereof.

Note that this is mainly about what one ordinarily ends up using the brain to achieve; as against what the brain was created to be capable of achieving. This is an unfortunate anomaly, and among other insights, the Zing4Life! presentation comprehensively outlines the systematic solution that works to ensure high levels of utilisation of the brain’s power.

So, what are some of the great deeds you can harness the power of your brain for?

  • You can harness the power of your brain to pursue and accomplish whatever great desires you want for yourself!
  • You can harness the power of your brain to come up with innovative ideas (i.e., new and wonderful ideas) to improve current situations and systems.
  • You can harness the power of your brain to come up with quality and effective solutions to problems / difficulties / challenges on hand.
  • You can harness the power of your brain to readily identify and capitalise on the numerous opportunities available but that which you otherwise would not see.
  • And so much more!

In essence you can harness the power of your brain to become one of the world’s exceptional achievers…

When you know the right things, the boundaries around your life suddenly disappear;” in the words of Brian Sher. Indeed, “It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you are not!” in the words of Denis Waitley. Yes, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes;” said Yeshua HaMashiach, except that further to believing you need to take the right steps, based on the right ‘base knowledge’ – Zing4Life! And the 8-Step Creative Thinking Process is key!

The 8-Step Creative Thinking Process

Remember that, ordinarily, no particular person is born with greater potential brain power, or better creative abilities than another, and certainly, no person has more raw creative abilities than you. So your potentential brain power is the same as that of any great person like Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, The Wright Brothers, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, etc. And whatever they accomplished, you have the inborn ability or inborn brain power to also accomplish the same and even more! You just have to tap into your brain power by simply following the 8 simple creative thinking steps below; a very powerful process involving very simple steps/techniques you can follow to generate breakthrough ideas and solutions, and achieve exceptionally great accomplishments.

Step 1 : Dream big dreams.

Remind yourself of the immense brain-power you possess, and allow yourself to dream big dreams.

Note that there is nothing like unrealistic dreams; a dream is a dream, that’s why it’s called a dream. It is said that, “Many times the impossible is simply the untried!” In any case dreaming big dreams is the first requirement in your journey towards great achievements!

A.

Look at your global world: universe, planet, continent, country, region, town, locality or neighbourhood, workplace, family, home, self, etc and identify all the areas you are concerned about.

1.

Separate them into those that cannot be controlled easily (for example, the weather), and those that can easily be controlled.

2.

For those that can be controlled, separate them into those you’re satisfied with as they are, and those that you’re not satisfied with.

3.

And for those that you’re not satisfied with, begin to dream of how excellent they could become.

B.

Cognizant of your immense brain power, and knowing that there are no limitations on you, Let your mind wonder freely into the future; don’t allow limits, because the only limit to your abilities is the limits you choose to place on your mind. Imagine that you are in the future, say in 50 years time, 25 years time, 10 years time, 5 years time, 1 year time; and everything is perfect for you; you have no limitations on what you can be, have, or do. Who/What would you like to become? What would you like to be doing? What would you like to be owning? What would you like to be accomplishing?

C.

Still cognizant of your immense brain power, and knowing that there are no limitations on you, tell yourself that whatever issue, problem or challenge on hand is an opportunity to put your mind to work, to bring out the best in you, and that it is possible to come up with great ideas and great solutions to deal with them. No situation of difficulty can arise except that which is common to life, and that God your creator has designed you in such a way that you are capable of handling every such situation if you’re willing and obedient. As we say, “Doubt whom you will, but never yourself.”

1.

State the issue / problem / challenge in clear tangible terms; state what is happening in observable measurable terms, and not merely attitudes and feelings.

2.

State what you would like to be happening instead; also in clear observable measurable terms, and not attitudes and feelings.

Do all these on paper; in other words, write down your dreams. You’re probably familiar with the admonition “Write the vision and make it plain…” There is so much wisdom in that, and you must write each one of them in the present participle tense. Example, ‘I am…,’ ‘I can…,’ ‘I’ve achieved…,’ ‘I’ve invented…,’ ‘I earn…,’ ‘I drive…,’ ‘I wear…,’ etc. It must be Specific and Straightforward, and also Measurable. It should be as clear and unambiguous as possible. It should be as detailed as how it would look like when it is accomplished. For example, instead of writing “I’m a big woman,” write in detail what exactly you mean by ‘big woman.’ And also, they should describe the positive thing you desire rather than the negative thing you wish to avoid. You may use the Dreams Filtration Matrix and the Goal Setting Matrix forms; you can download them for Free.

Step 2 : Desire (strongly wish for) the realisation of the dreams you have noted down.

Desire to realise the dreams;in the light of the good benefits you could derive should you get them. Here is how: imagine that you’ve attained your dreams, and feel the emotions that go with having attained the dreams. If you keep happy thoughts of the pleasure to be derived from realising and living your dream, you will develop the drive, motivation and tenacity required to make choices that will lead you to the pleasure you dream of. Think of all the good benefits you could derive from realising your dreams; perhaps better friends, more personal growth, better health, more money, more happiness, more security, more leisure time, opportunity for advancement, more peace of mind, more true love, the ability to be more competent and to contribute more to your society, and so on; wish for them strongly.

Step 3 : You must ask (pray) for the things you desire; as per the dreams you have noted down.

You can do the asking either verbally or purely mentally; the important thing is that you should be very clear or definite about what you desire. Note that, God the source of infinite intelligence, is able to do exceedingly more than you could ask or think!

So that you can concentrate on one task at a time for efficiency, look on your list of dreams and determine the one that would have the greatest positive impact on your life, when accomplished. When you determine this, throw your whole weight behind it starting from now! Don’t hesitate, don’t second guess, for no matter how brilliant you are, or how energetic you are; or even how religious or spiritual you are, if you don’t direct your resources and focus them on specific purposeful worthwhile goals for a time, you’re not going to accomplish much.

Step 4 : Visualise (imagine) the desired end results and focus strongly on it.

You can help yourself by interacting with replicas and/or pictures of the end results, especially if what you desire are physical in nature or have some physical components. In the words of Norman Vincent Peale, “Whatever you can prayerlise and visualise, you can actualise.” In your mind’s eye, see yourself involved in the actions you must necessarily take to bring the desire(s) to pass, and see yourself (again in your mind’s eye) doing the said actions so skillfully in a way that would amaze even the greatest expert you know in the particular field. This will help you to develop those skills in a relatively shorter time because it involves mental rehearsal, which to the mind is just like real rehearsal.

Steps 5 - 8 : Get The Creative Paradigm

The Transmutation Process

Human thoughts have frequencies; when you are thinking, your brain emits waves. Using scientific instruments, scientists are able to capture the frequencies of the waves emitted by a person’s thoughts.

The procedure involved in drawing upon infinite intelligence may be similar to the method through which the vibration of sound is communicated by mobile phones. You probably know that (in it’s simplest form) a microphone on the mobile handset picks up the sound of the human voice in the form of sound waves and the handset scrambles (modifies) it by stepping up the soundwaves millions of times to a rate the human ear cannot detect and adds a tag to it to indicate which particular receiving microchip or SIM card the message is intended for. When it is stepped up this way, the ether (atmosphere) picks up the energy and carries it over long distances aided by booster devices (cell sites) for it to reach as far as the network coverage can afford. If the mobile handset containing the designated microchip or SIM card happens to be within the coverage area, it receives the scrambled sound waves and then steps down the sound waves back to its original rate of vibration, so that the ear can recognise it as sound in the original form.

Each modern mobile phone handset is designed to transmit sound, and receive sound waves transmitted by other phones; the mobile handset is thus, a transceiver. Your subconscious mind acts as a transceiver too, and the whole transmission process is activated by your desire and reinforced by your emotions. Thought (vibrations) from the minds of others can also be received this way, and by it, one is able to communicate with or ‘tune in’ to the minds of other persons, and this is what makes telepathy possible.

Research is currently underway to produce electronic devices that can be controlled purely by a person’s thoughts. In December 2008, Tan Le (A research scientist and an entrepreneur) did a live demonstration of a headset (a high-definition brainwave acquisition device) that would allow humans to interact with computers purely by thought and other emotional expressions; convinced that the next generation of human-computer interactions would involve both conscious and non-conscious inputs. The subject (person) for the demo simply wore a headset similar in nature to what pilots use but with multiple sensors on it. Upon configuring it, the person wearing the headset was able to rotate a cube on the computer by simply holding in his mind the thought that he was rotating the cube. Again by simply thinking the thought that the cube has disappeared, the cube did disappear from the screen. This totally non-evasive technology simply picked the wave pattern of the subject based on his thought and because it is consistent for a person, the computer was able to know exactly what the person was thinking and respond accurately in realtime. In 2009 DW-TV (in their programme ‘Tomorrow-Today’) showcased a robot whose movement could be controlled purely by thought. In the demo, the person controlling the robot wore a special helmet which acted as the input device, and by simply focusing his attention to the right (by turning his eyes to the right), the robot moved to the right, and vice versa.

Creative Imagination and Synthetic Imagination

The Creative Thinking Process makes use of your imagination; your innate ability to form images or pictures in your mind; be it of things in existence or things not yet in existence. There are two kinds of imagination: creative imagination, and synthetic imagination.

Creative Imagination is the mental faculty used by the subconscious mind to translate thought into its spiritual equivalent and transmit it to God the source of infinite intelligence and receivein return the thoughts (inspirations), ideas or insights relevant to the desire, problem or challenge on hand. It is particularly used in the fourth, fifth and sixth stages of the creative thinking process.

The thoughts (inspirations), ideas or insights that your mind receives this way, are like mental emails or instant mental messages (mentalsms) from God the creator and source of infinite intelligence himself. They are (or at least contain) the ideas for procuring that which you desire. This requires that you should keep pen and paper, or an electronic recorder on you all the time, to record your inspired thoughts or ideas. A diary or notebook could equally serve the purpose. Don’t yield to the temptation of not recording; you’ll only be deceiving yourself if you think that you’ll remember them without recording;and frankly, that will be a sign of laziness. The old saying is true that, “A blunt pencil will always remember more than a sharp mind;” or that, “The faintest stroke of ink is better than the best human memory.”

Seer, once the creative process gets underway, it never stops even when you’re asleep or working on another task. Your subconscious mind continues to work on it all the time, so don’t be surprised when thoughts that occur to you at certain times are not directly related to the current task on hand. You can get ideas and inspiration while shaving, dressing or applying makeup, and when going about anything else. You may even wake up in the middle of the night with a great idea. Writing them will help you to keep your mind on the current task and preserve those precious ideas as well. They should be recorded, even if the ideas don’t make sense to you at the moment. Seer, this is because often, great ideas come in very raw form that must be further processed into the eventual solution. It is said that, “All great deeds and all great thoughts have a ridiculous beginning.” When recording these thoughts, don’t be too conscious; don’t think too much, just let it flow. What you record this way is called a draft and it will certainly have flaws; however, it would have captured the salient points or ideas all the same ready for improvement.

Personally, the times I often receive such inspirational thoughts are, when I’m bathing, and most often, when I’m meditatively quiet; especially in bed. I receive business ideas, design ideas, the body and structure of critical letters and presentations, and others, even when bathing; strange eh! Another good instance when I receive so much ideas, is when I’m praying (especially when prayingin the spirit); because then, the spirit prays, so the mind becomes fully available to receive. You’ll find me intermittently writing down such inspired thoughts or ideas, during the prayer time. I’m convinced that many people miss a lot of good messages from God when praying, just because they’re too focused on pouring out their concerns, without taking time to listen to God for responses or directions to the very things they’re praying about; don’t be a victim. Prayer is more of a dialogue than a monologue, so make prayer times more beneficial to yourself by listening intermittently and writing down divine directions; at least, write them after the prayer.

Creative imagination often requires meditation so you must avoid all forms of interruptions, as much as possible. Meditation is simply high levels of concentration, or intensely focusing the mind on a goal;there’s nothing evil about it, contrary to what people often assume. Under normal conditions, your brain will unconsciously be working on so many things at the same time. As a result, the brain’s power gets divided over all the tasks it is working on. In meditation, you concentrate the full power of the mind on solving a problem so that none is spent on anything else; the power of focus. In addition to receiving inspired thoughts during the process of meditation, the mind pokes or refers to the information existing in your memory to make sense of them; the mind eventually tie some of them (especially the most relevant ones) together in a marvelous manner as creative solutions to your desires and focused questions. Alexander Graham Bell said, “Concentrate all your thoughts upon the task at hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.” A quiet place will help; it is said that Jesus Christ of Nazareth often withdrew to a solitary (lonely and quiet) place. Many other great leaders also did same, what about you? You may need to avoid phone calls and visitors or conversations during the process.

Seer, to help you concentrate after you’ve withdrawn to your quiet place, relax first, by taking in a deep breath; hold it for a count of five and slowly release the breath to another count of five. Do it about five times, and each time, tell your mind that you’re relaxing. Use this process to relax every part of your body – head to toe. After you’re completely relaxed, begin the creative thinking process.

One Dr. Elmer Gates used creative imagination to acquire 200 US patents. He had a room in his laboratory he called ‘personal communication room.’ It was practically sound proof, and he had lighting controls on his table. He would switch off the lights and concentrate on the known factors of the invention he was working on for a while for ideas to flash in his mind, then he would switch the lights back on and write down the ideas. It is said that on one such occasion the ideas came so much that he had to write continuously for 3 hours.

Seer, your ability to generate and develop ideas to help you succeed is unlimited, and so is your ability to succeed too. Indeed, using your creative imagination faculty, you can even desire particular situations, conditions and favours, and get them to come true. A classical example in history is the search for a wife for Isaac by good old Abraham’s oldest servant. With such an onerous task on his hand, and he not wanting to make a mistake in his choice, he prayed, “O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham. Behold, here I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say, ‘Please let down your pitcher that I may drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink’ – let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.” Faithfully, his desires came to pass just the way he had requested in his prayer.

There is no rule to determine precisely the time it will take for the desires to manifest in reality this way; but it’s generally observed that the stronger the desire and faith, the quicker it manifests. It all depends on how believable it is for you. In any case, what you desire will surely come to pass if you do not give up. “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.” As the mind draws upon infinite intelligence to accomplish your desires, the most practical means possible by which your desires can be accomplished is often used, so it pays to be sensitive to God; desist from insisting on your own carnal preset or pre-emptive methods for their accomplishment. In some situations it manifests as intuitioninstinctgut feeling or gut reaction; a visceral perception of what one considers ‘the right thing’, or ‘the right thing to do;’ and it often defies logic. An instance that illustrates the point has to do with Sony Corporation. It’s reported that when Sony considered producing the Walkman, they conducted market research to establish its viability. The results of the survey suggested that the product would fail. In spite of this research outcome, Sony’s chairman had a gut feeling that the product would sell, so the company went ahead and produced the Walkman. The walkman turned out to be a big success contrary to what the said research had predicted.

Seer, do record inspired thoughts and ideas and act upon them; allowing your instinct guide you always. Failure to do so may constitute a missed opportunity.

Synthetic Imagination is the mental faculty used by your conscious mind to organise the often raw and incoherent original thoughts or ideas, into new combinations as a definite plan or solution to your desires. It is particularly used in the seventh stage of the creative thinking process.

As the creative imagination’s counterpart, your synthetic imagination creates nothing, per se; it merely works with the inputs it is fed with by your experiences, education, and observations. It is the mental faculty that usually works on tasks until you challenge yourself with deeper thinking, and then your creative imagination will come in.

Your creative and synthetic imagination faculties become mature and very effective only through years of use, so the earlier you start using them and continue to use them, and the more often you use them, the better. Seer, remember what Professor Suzuki did with the young children. You’ve probably heard of Disneyland; or some characters and movies like ‘Snow white and the seven dwarfs,’ ‘Alice in Wonderland,’ ‘Toy Story,’ ‘Mickey Mouse,’ ‘Pinocchio,’ ‘Treasure Island,’ ‘Peter Pan,’ ‘Cinderella’ and so many others. Walt Disney is the man behind all these, and other innovative ideas. It is recorded that, once his 5th-grade teacher asked them to colour a garden scene; Walt had imaginatively drawn flowers that had faces on them. As the teacher walked around to check on their progress, she stopped at Walt’s desk and commented, “Walt, that’s very pretty, but flowers don’t have faces on them.” Walt Disney stopped only long enough to reply, “Mine do!” He then happily continued with his work.

Walt was an ordinary poor boy from a very poor home but he explored his creativity at a very tender age like most children do, and you also did when you were very young. It’s sad that as we grow, we somehow allow our natural imaginative abilities to be stifled by the actions and limitations of others and things around us, and then we end up being mediocre and do things without a sense of creativity.

Albert Einstein once said, “I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited, imagination encircles the world;” and that, “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”

Seer, use the creative thinking techniques to come up with newer, better, faster, cheaper or easier ways to accomplish results. Again, your mind responds to stimuli, not mere pressure; so don’t brutally ‘demand’ or ‘force’ a creative answer or a creative solution from your mind by an unusually short deadline; that may not work. However, the stronger the stimuli or the greater the desire (burning desire or passion) the shorter the time required to achieve results. You just have to keep stimulating the mind by feeding it with more information about the task and applying your mind to the task. No matter how long it takes don’t give up; if you don’t get the solution today, go back to it tomorrow, and keep going back to it till the solution comes. The more you focus your mind on achieving goals, solving problems or answering questions the smarter you become and the faster your mind works for you in the subsequent times. By thinking creatively all the time, you can increase your intelligence and your IQ. Below is the Creative Thinking Process you can employ to generate breakthrough solutions.
