Years of research into human and organisational performance factors has revealed worrying trends in the lives of individuals, organisations, and society as a whole; most of the issues are not openly discussed, but come up in people’s prayers, and / or when they are in sessions with their pastors, consultants, and other potential helpers; in essence, a lot of people and organisations live a lie! In recounting the amazing, most revealing, and very exciting story behind the writing of my 14+3 books, I discussed into details 2 startling broad examples…
First, most people (possibly including you) are not truly fulfilled in life, to the extent that most of the ailments people report to the hospitals with are not pathogenic; i.e. they are not the effects of disease-causing organisms, but largely by-products of the lack of true fulfillment in life!
Second, most people (again, possibly including you) do not know about their true potential; thus they make little or no effort to unearth (or harness) that true (or hidden) potential; they waste their true (or hidden) potential, and consequently go through avoidable struggles and regrets in life.
For the full discussion or presentation on the extremely important issues above, you may click here; I really recommend that you get to appreciate those first two well enough. In this presentation I discuss 3 more, all in a bid to give you further insights into the gravity of the problems you seriously should take the appropriate steps to avoid.
Please note that because they are broad examples, within each are several possible individual examples.
Third, alarming levels of economic hazards prevail, leading to massive under-employment and job losses
Global statistics show that 80 out of 100 businesses fail within their first 5 years. Of those that survive, 80 percent, still fail within the subsequent 4 years. Out of those that remain after these 9 years, only 15 out of 100 make a significant profit; the remaining 85 percent just hang in there. That means if 100 businesses start today, in 9 years only 4 of them will be surviving; and of the 4, only 1 will be making a significant profit.
Fourth, there is alarming leadership crisis in most organisations, leading to resentment among workers, and ultimately stress and low productivity
In most organisations (companies, churches, schools, etc) only 15 percent of the subordinates know what their organisation or department’s top goals and priorities are. A vast majority of subordinates, indeed 85 out of 100 of subordinates, don’t know what their organisation or department’s top goals and priorities are. Of those who know the top goals and priorities, only 19 out of 100 feel passionate about these top goals and priorities; that translates to about 3 percent of all the subordinates. Again, of those who know the organisation or department’s top goals and priorities, only 49 percent of their working hours is spent on the most important goals; More than half of the time is spent on less important activities. In a sense, in a lot of organisations what the people accomplish the whole year, is actually doable within 3 months. In effect the actions and inactions of leaders are denying the world of quick, innovative, and effective solutions at sufficiently low cost, and denying their workers of the much higher remuneration and other rewards they so much deserve.
If you are a manager or a business owner; or even if you just hope to be one, this should concern you. You need Zing4Life! to deal with this kind of canker!
Fifth, Africa is rich but poor! Irrespective of where you may be in this world, this affects you in unimaginable ways
My continent Africa is a very blessed continent. We have cocoa, diamond, bauxite, oil, timber, and many natural resources in abundance and have been selling these to the world for so long. Indeed some of the cities reflect this blessing to some extent.
Africa is also blessed with Universities, Polytechnics, Training Colleges, and Technical Schools that produce numerous intellectuals – Professors, Doctorate Holders, Masters Holders, Diploma Holders, and a whole lot of people with serious academic credentials; some from very reputable universities across the globe, and are in charge by way of leadership at various levels. Additionally we are a highly religious people; we worship God a lot, and we pray a lot. In spite of all these, many (if not most) of the countries are largely bedeviled with age-old developmental problems such as indiscriminate littering, ignorance, illiteracy, diseases, unemployment, stack poverty and general underdevelopment.
The examples above still constitute a tip of the iceberg! There are so many of such issues; too many to count.
So, what are the causes, and most importantly what is the remedy, or otherwise what are the remedies?
All the cited problems (and a lot more yet to discuss) happen because of the 4 popular and very surprising habits that make life difficult; the first being Processionary Caterpillar Syndrome; you may click here to see the first popular and very surprising habit that make life difficult.
